KPAMRC always believed that interaction among the members and other like minded people was a vital input for proper growth. Therefore it started with a quarterly newsletter just after few years of its formation. The newsletter called ‘Common Cause’ contains information about policies and programmes initiated by the Government, various activities undertaken by NGOs working in the field and ofcourse major activities of the Association. The newsletter continues to be the major link among the members of KPAMRC and the outside world.

The Association also began publishing books and manuals on issues connected with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities, management of special persons, guidance to parents in managing their young adults and training manuals for the teacher trainees. The first publication came out in early 90’s and so far the Association has come out with 12 publications on different topics.
In addition, special issues and souvenirs are being published on major occasions like national parents meet, national seminars and workshops.
