Dear Well wisher,

I am happy to inform you that our Association has been selected for the National Award under the category, of Best Service Institution. The Award will be presented by the President of India on 3rd December 2011 at Delhi, as a part of the World Disabled Day celebration. This has been possible because of the unstinted support, guidance and blessings given by well wishers like you and many many others. Most probably, this Award which is highest that one can aspire in the country will give us additional strength and courage to take the activities including that of Vishwashanti Niketan, Group Home Rehabilitation Complex for long term residential care of persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities, forward.

The Association has been doubly luckly, it also received Smt. Premlata Peshwaria National Award instituted by Peshawaria family in memory of their mother Smt. Premlata Peshwaria during the Annual National Parents' Meet held at Jamshedpur last month.

The 4th Anniversary celebrations of Vishwashanti Niketan went off very well. The local Member of Legislative Council was the Chief Guest. He was quite impressed with the functioning of Vishwashanti Niketna and assured all support.

The number of residents at the Group Home Rehabilitation Complex has gone upto 30 and the construction of the 5th unit will start, hopefully, in the next month as soon as the plans for the unit are approved by the appropriate authority.
